1940-1949
Upon graduating from Mnsgr. Coyle H.S. in 1949,
Theodore Oliveira joined the Brothers of the Holy Cross. Br. Oliveira
has served the Mission for over 60 years teaching at Notre Dame High
School for 53 years.
1950-1959
Joe Bartel '56 has been found! Mr. Bartel checked in
from San Diego, CA. After earning his Bachelor's of Science in
Business Administration from Stonehill College in 1960, Mr. Bartel
served his country in the US Navy. He retired from the Navy as a
Captain in the Supply Corps in 1989. He retired from his position as
Vice President from Cubic Defense Applications, Inc. in 2005 and from
his service to the San Diego Diocese as Director of Secondary
Education in 2006.
1960 – 1969
Ann (Mahyer) Durette '64, daughter of Alice
(McNamara) Mahyer '38 graduated from St. Anne's Hospital of Nursing in
1967 and has been married for 30 years. She proudly reports that she
is the mother of 5 and grandmother of 8! Mrs. Durette resides in
Somerset, Massachusetts.
Eugene St. Pierre '65 checked in from Texas, He and
his wife of 36+ years have two children; Renee, 28 and Paul, 26 and a
grandchild, Sammy. Mr. St. Pierre works in technology, for Hewlett
Packard, and previously for Compaq and Texas Instruments.
Paul Desruisseaux ’67 is the Assistant
Vice-Chancellor of Institutional Advancement at the University of
California, Santa Barbara, California.
Donna Maguire '67 has been awarded a medal from the
U.S. Department of Transportation for an article entitled "Making
Rescues from Sinking Ships". In addition to continuing her education,
Ms. Maguire travels extensively.
Mary “Bunny” (Wynne) Pepin ’68
recently resigned after a long career in home decorating and design.
She currently lives in the Adirondacks on the Deer River with her
husband of 37 years, Ernest. She enjoys spoiling her grandchildren and
pursuing her creative endeavors: sewing, smocking, gardening and
baking.
Eileen (Doherty) Van Zandt ’68 and her children
Erica and Jonathan recently moved to West Hyannisport, MA after
residing in Attleboro, MA for 20 years.
Julie (Lemire) Hazen '69 married Fred
Hazen of Taunton (Taunton High School graduate 1968) on August 21,
1971. They have 3 children. Their eldest,
Alexander, is a 1996 graduate of Coyle and Cassidy; he is
currently serving in the Air Force stationed at Davis Monthan AFB in
Tuscon, AZ. Julie works for Sony Electronics as a Field Trainer
covering the New England market. She would like to borrow a copy
of the 1969-1999 reunion booklet from anyone who attended.
1970 - 1979
Paul Menzies '70
recently retired from teaching and now living in Florida.
Married for 32 years to Kathleen Menzies with two children Kara who is
23 and studying to be a
nurse and Ryan 21 who is in the first division
of the U.S. Army presently
stationed in Baghdad. Paul served three terms on the Westport
School Committee.
George DeLisle ’73 opened his newest restaurant in
October of 2006. Located in Southern Pines, NC in the heart of golf
country and the legendary Pinehurst No. 2, Café Iano is an upscale
casual dining establishment featuring indoor and outdoor dining and
live music in the courtyard. Mr. DeLisle named the café for his two
sons Ian and Noah.
Edward "Ted" Leonard '73 reports
that after my graduation, I was fortunate enough to first play as a
professional musician, then travel the world as a touring technician
for many of the top bands in the music industry. I met my Finnish wife
while participating in Billy Joel's historic concerts in the Former
Soviet Union as a keyboard technician, and have resided in the
Helsinki metropolitan area for the past 14 years, after being a
Manhattanite from 1977-93.

Dr.
Paul Boffetti '76, Hall of Famer,
has recently moved to New Hampshire. We wish he and his family
blessings in their new home.
1980-1989
Major Patrick Longton '80 recently resigned the U.S.
Army after spending 20 years in the Army and National Guard. In
November, 2006, he moved to Anchorage, Alaska with his wife Debbie and
two daughters. He has worked the last 10 years in federal law
enforcement and is currently employed as a Special Agent for the U.S.
Postal Service Office of the Inspector General.
John R. Carlson, '82
is a Master Sergeant serving with the National Guard in Baghdad in the
447th Expeditionary Medical Support Squadron, he spent eight years
active duty in the Air Force and the last 15 in the National Guard. In
my other life as a civilian I am the Health Officer for the City of
Dover, NH. I graduated from New England College and I live in the very
scenic town of Rollinsford, NH, about 15 miles North of Portsmouth.

Cynthia Waterman ’84 reportedly died after a
short, brave battle with Cancer in 2006.
Debra Defeo-Gelman '87 and her husband Steven
welcomed triplets (WOW!) Anthony, Thomas and Victoria in August of
2002.
Lorene Ann (Booker) Booker-Jorge ’88 works as a certified pediatric
intensive care nurse at Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence.
Lori's son Kyle, aged 12, is in the 7th grade.
Joe Arcikowski '89 married with a 5
month old son, living outside Kansas City, MO. with my wife Amy. I am
a General Manager of a large Commercial/Residential Heating and
Cooling Company. in Overland Park, KS.
Ken Wertz ’89 is living in Canton, MA with his wife
Julie, four year-old daughter and a one and ˝ year-old son. Ken is the
Director of Maintenance and Operations for Sharon Public Schools in
Sharon, MA.
1990 – 1999
Sidonia Silva-Reyes '91 has been married to Axel
Reyes for nearly 12 years and they have a 7 year old daughter,
Kennedy. Sidonia works at SEED Corp, Taunton, helping small business
with financing.
Neil M. Morrison '92 graduated from Boston College
with a degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk
University in 1999. While still attending law school Mr. Morrison
began serving his community as a Councilor for the City of Taunton,
Massachusetts. He continued his service as Personnel Director the City
of Taunton and later as Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts State
Treasurer Tim Cahill. In 2007 Mr. Morrison was appointed First Deputy
Treasurer, one of only fifteen in Massachusetts, by Tim Cahill. In a
recent interview about his career Mr. Morrison stated "The most
important lesson in public service [one] that is sometimes missed is
that you're giving back to other people, you’re not just there for
yourself."
Brian Harrington '93 and his wife Kelly (Orgera)
Harrington '93 reside in Mansfield, Mass with their two daughters,
Sarah, age 4, and Ella, age 6 months. Brian is a Local 176 sheet metal
worker. Kelly has worked with Astra Zeneca in Waltham for the past 10
years.
Kate (Kathryn Wapenski) Galli '93 married husband
Steve in 2001. They have one child, Devan born in 2000, and live in
North Adams, Mass. Mrs. Galli graduated from Mass College of Liberal
Arts in 200 with a degree in Biology and a concentration in Sports
Medicine. Kate now devotes her time to her young daughter, working as
a pre-school teacher and kindergarten aide at her daughter's school.
Captain Ryan Levesque '94 and his family have moved
from Fort Sill, OK to the Washington, D.C. Area after returning safely
from a year long deployment to Iraq. Capt. Levesque is now an
Assignment Officer for the Army Human Resources Command in Alexandria,
VA. Congratulations and thank-you to Captain Levesque and his family.
Theresa Newfield ‘94 is a full-time mom of two
Dillon, age 5 and Dayson, age 3. In addition she volunteers regularly
with Head Start of Taunton. She and her kids enjoy traveling and Ms.
Newfield is in the process of opening her own business in September of
2007.
Alexander Hazen ’96 is currently serving our
country as a member of the United States Air Force. He is stationed at
Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.
Nicholas Welch '96 of Lakeville recently announced
his engagement to Erin Drake of Framingham, MA.
Chris Wenson '96
is employed by the Federal Bureau of prisons as a corrections officer.
He got married in November of 2006 to Amy Sansoucy, a teacher in the
Medway school system and they had a baby, Julie Lynn on December 5th,
2007.
Matthew Pelletier ’97 graduated from Boston College
with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. He runs and operates Eastmedia Group in NYC. He also founded the NYC RailsUser Group and he
is an instructor. In addition, Matt co-authored a book on Mongrel/Ruby
Applications published in 2006.
Danielle (Sweeney) Krause '97 and husband,
James, announce the birth of their daughter, Lena Sivney. Lena was
born on June 5, 2007. Danielle is staying home to raise Lena, and
James was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the Fairfax County
Police Department.
Mr. Garrett Clark proudly reports that his wife,
Julie E. (Callahan) Clark '98, just recently graduated from Tufts
Veterinary School. Best of luck in your new career!
Scott Wenson '98 graduated magna cum laude from PC in 2002,
went to Medical School at U MA Medical, did a year of specialized
training in pathology between his first and second two years and is
now finishing his first year of residency at Beth Israel Deaconess
Hospital in pathology.
Heather Baylies-Grigoreas '99 reports having
married Mr. Scott Grigoreas on December 1, 2007 at Lake Pearl
Luciano's in Wrentham. Sheri Mello '00 served as Heather's Maid of
Honor. The couple resides in East Taunton with their chihuahua Gizmo.
Sherry (Neville) Smith '99 was married in May 2005
to Phillip Smith of Traskwood, Arkansas. Their daughter, Kyah
Mackenzie Smith, was born via planned un-medicated birth on June 26,
2006. The family lives in Arkansas where Sherry is a photographer and
work-at-home mom.
2000 - Present
William F. Moan III ’00 is living in Holly Springs, North Carolina.
He and his wife, Akvile, and son, Gabriel, moved into their first home
a year ago and William has recently found a great job working for a
company called Prime Communications in the Raleigh/Durham area.
Jonathan Pelletier '00 graduated from Virginia Tech
in 2004 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance. He resides in
Alexandria, VA and works as a Budget Analyst for the Department of
Justice in Washington, D.C. Jon is still close to his fellow alums
Matt Pereschino, Adam Turner, Jeff Ponce and Chris Murphy (all class of 2000).
Erica Horan '01 graduated from Saint Anselm
College in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She is
currently a second lieutenant and critical care nurse in the United
States Air Force. Erica is currently stationed at Travis Air Force
Base in California where she is being trained as a critical care
flight nurse. She is set to deploy to Bagram, Afganistan in September
of 2008. She still keeps in touch with classmates Karen McCauley,
Lauren Bisio, Jill Holmes, Jason Gracia, Anthony Abreau, Paul Johnson,
Drew Lindo, and Michael Hagerstrom.
Heather Champagne ’02 reports that she is currently
living in Florida attending Seminole Community College. After
completing her Associates Degree she plans to finish her major in
Early Childhood Education at UCF. Heather works with kids in a variety
of settings including at a daycare.
Kira L. Munroe ’02 received a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Fashion Design & Retailing from Framingham State College.
The Taunton Daily Gazette reports that Adam Bagni
’03 has been named Sports Director at WNCF-TV, ABC in Montgomery,
Alabama. Bagni graduated from La Salle University in 2007 with a
Bachelor of Arts in Communication with concentrations in Journalism
and Mass Communication. An accomplished and award-winning
sportscaster, Bagni most recently worked for the New England Sports
Network (NESN) in Watertown, MA. He was a three-sport athlete while at
Coyle and he wrote many sports articles for the Taunton Daily Gazette
and served as the color commentator for the annual game between
Taunton High School and Coyle on Thanksgiving.
Catherine A. Cugno ’03 graduated Cum Laude from
Framingham State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business
Administration.
Shannon Farley '03 recently graduated from Bridgewater State
College -- Cum Laude--majoring in English and minored in Secondary
Education. She is currently the ninth grade English teacher at Pope
John Paul II High School.
Jennifer A. Good '03 graduated Magna Cum Laude from
Framingham State College with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education.
Richard Hinds ’03 reports that he is currently
living in Los Angeles and interning for two production companies in
Hollywood. He will graduate from Boston University in May of 2007 with
a degree in Film & Television. He plans on returning to Massachusetts
for the summer to continue writing feature-length screenplays. He is
currently in the process of finding an agent to represent him.
Sarah Cashman '04
reports the following: I moved to Fall River after graduation,
shortly after I found out I had a brain tumor and had it removed. I am
attending Rob Roy Academy for cosmetology. I plan on moving back to
Brockton and getting a job with Regis.
Michael Dickinson '04 has recently returned to the US after serving as an Army Combat Medic in Iraq with Taunton's 399th Army Reserve
Unit. Michael was promoted to sergeant during his deployment. He was supported back home by his family; Dad-Brian Dickinson,
Director of Guidance at CCHS, Mom-Susan, brother James (Class of '06) and
his sister Kelly. The family wishes to
thank the entire CCHS community for all of their support and prayers during
Michael's deployment! |
