College Recruitment-Prospect Checklist

 

Prospective Student-Athletes

 

In order to participate in college athletics and receive athletically based financial aid, you must register with the NCAA Initial Eligibility Clearinghouse and meet academic and amateurism eligibility standards.  Therefore, we have attached a recruiting checklist to help student-athletes understand the requirements for the NCAA Clearinghouse standards of initial eligibility and other important information related to recruiting.

 

RECRUITING CHECKLIST

  • Be informed regarding all the policies of the NCAA.  Please review the Student Guide available by clicking HERE.

  • Prospect is registered with NCAA Clearinghouse at www.ncaaclearinghouse.netYou cannot apply until your senior year.

  • Prospect is signed up for the Standardized Test.

Prospect is scheduled to complete the minimum academic core courses

  • 4 years of English

  • 3 years of Mathematics (Algebra 1 or higher)

  • 2 years of natural/physical Science (one must be a lab science)

  • 1 year of additional English, Math or Science

  • 2 years of Social Studies

  • 4 years of additional core courses (from any area listed above,

  • or from foreign language, nondoctrinal religion or philosophy.

  • Prospect has created a checklist of priorities for selecting a University. 

  • Prospect has a list of important questions to research from multiple sources.

  • Prospect has visited the Official University Website.

  • Prospect has visited the Official Website of sport one is considering playing.

  • Prospect has submitted updated questionnaires.

  • Prospect has sent updated Transcript and Test scores. 

  • Prospect has sent game tape whenever possible. 

  • Prospect has made plans to attend a summer camp of interested University or a regional camp.
