Creativity at CCHS!

Fine Arts and

Performing Arts!

Coyle and Cassidy has vibrant departments in both the Fine Arts and Performing Arts.  The students involved are very important in the life of our community.  They also are some of the brightest and talented we serve at CCHS!

The Fine Arts are integrated into the Freshmen year if they have not chosen a specific course to enroll in at the beginning of their high school career.   We feel that students who do not have specific skills and talents in the Arts should be exposed to Arts and become appreciative of contributions of artists to our society.

Elective courses in the Fine Arts range from Studio Art to the technology based Ways of Seeing and Digital Arts.  Students can opt to take the AP Studio Art class as upperclassmen.

The Music Department has a wide range of offerings for students.  From the band playing at the football games to concert performances for both instruments and vocal.  The entire community looks forward to their Christmas concert; Spring Concert and, of course, the yearly Spring Musical!

Many students take advantage of the many opportunities to nurture their talents throughout the year.  Whether it be member of the Fall Play or the Shakespeare Competition or the aforementioned Spring Musical; the entire community looks forward to highlighting the Creative aspect of our students!

What high school student hasn’t had the nightmare of showing up for an exam, only to find out you don’t remember a thing?  Wouldn’t we have all appreciated a guide to high school, with students teaching us all the tricks of the trade in seven easy lessons?  And who wouldn’t want a classic piece of required reading presented in a simple, easy to understand, fifteen minute format?   Well if you answered yes to any of these questions, Coyle & Cassidy Drama’s The Return of Short Attention Span Theatre is for you!

The three short comedies will be presented at 7pm on November 12, 13 & 14.  The plays all deal with the high school experience in a variety of ways- from slap-stick to satire to self-help guide, they are sure to have something for everyone.

Tickets will be available at the door and in the week before the show, may be purchased online through the school’s website.  Tickets are $8 general admission, $5 students and senior citizens and $5 for current Coyle & Cassidy students.
