Our Academics seek to provide a seamless, integrated curriculum for Grades 5-12 that enables students to build on their strengths and talents as they develop 21st Century skills and sound Gospel-based values. We strive to preserve a true middle school experience while preparing students to meet the demands of high school in an age appropriate manner.

We offer 12 Advanced Placement Courses spanning all disciplines. Students who maintain a strong work ethic are encouraged to explore the rigor of an Advanced Placement Course. 42% of HS students are enrolled in one or more AP courses. Courses include:

Special Education ProgramCoyle & Cassidy offers an Special Education Program for those students with Individualized Education Plans (IEP) or Accommodation Plans. We monitor the services and accommodations written in your child’s plan to ensure that your child can have a successful learning experience at Coyle & Cassidy. If a child has an IEP, our staff will work with the Taunton Public Schools, local districts, and parents to create a Service Plan that meets your child’s needs. If your child has an IEP or Accommodation Plan, you are asked to submit the paperwork along with your application. If you have any questions about the process and what documentation is required, please contact the Guidance Department.
Personalized Learning is individualized instruction for every student through the use of both the classroom teacher and supportive technology. Technology allows the teacher to provide instruction that is adaptive and data rich. Students find the supportive technology to be engaging and gamified. The combination of the teacher and technology allow for learning to vary in regards to the path it takes, the place it happens, the pace in which it occurs, and the time of day in which it happens. Personalized Learning changes the old premise of education that all students learn the same skills, on the same day, at the same time. It addresses each learner as an individual and provides for many more opportunities in the classroom for collaboration, problem solving, and critical thinking.
For the past two years Coyle and Cassidy has been working to implement the Personalized Learning model throughout the school. This has included an upgrade of our WiFi, investment in technology, and professional development for teachers.
In the 2018/19 school year we are moving from the IOWA Assessment to the MAP Growth Assessment. Students will take MAP three times a year on the computer. Teachers receive results electronically in a timely manner so that they can adjust teaching to meet the needs of the students based on the areas MAP identifies as areas for growth.
