  • Jo’Ann Allen has 42 years’ experience as a registered nurse. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Boston University and a Master’s in Education in Instructional Technology from Bridgewater State University.

    After working many years in high-risk units in Boston Hospitals, she started working for the Taunton Public School system and retired from there in 2014.

    Since then she has been employed by Framingham State University as a Medical Simulation Resource Coordinator and most recently the nurse manager for a Charter Middle school in Brockton.

  • Marie Angeley is a veteran Coyle and Cassidy faculty member of 39 years. She is currently the Vice Principal for Student Affairs for High School and Middle School students. During her tenure she has served as a Math Teacher, Math Department Chair, and Dean of Students. In her capacity as Vice Principal she has expanded student offerings for clubs/activities and events. She is committed to providing a safe, caring environment for the Coyle and Cassidy community. She is a member of Taunton’s YCCIT (Youth Community Crisis Training). This group provides training  that encourages agencies to partner together in a team approach to best assist the needs of youth.

  • Brenda Berard has been teaching high school mathematics at Coyle and Cassidy High School for over twenty years. She is a certified high school mathematics teacher and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts.

Mrs. Paula Boissonneau

  • Paula M. Boissonneau is the Department Chair for the Science Department at Coyle and Cassidy Middle School and High School. She has 19 years of experience in education. Paula teaches Biology I for eighth grade, Honors Biology II for ninth grade, and AP Biology for grade twelve. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Providence College and completed her education courses at the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. Besides her role as a Department Chair and teacher, Paula is also co – moderator of Student Council.

  • Grace Chaves is a graduate of Taunton High School and started to work at Coyle and Cassidy High School in August of 1989 in the Guidance Department. After 10 years in Guidance she worked for the Principal for 8 years and the President’s office for 9 years. She returned to the Guidance Department during the summer of 2017. She has grandchildren she enjoys very much, Guidance affords me the opportunity to spend time with them during vacations and summer break.

Mrs. Jennifer deMatos

  • Jennifer deMatos studied at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with a major in Portuguese and a double minor in Education and Spanish. She began her career in education as a Portuguese teacher at Escola Oficial Portuguesa de Taunton Sports, a community school that focused on communication skills in Portuguese. Once at Coyle, she began by teaching Spanish including: Spanish 2H, Spanish 2CP, Spanish 3CP, and Spanish Practicum. After three years, she was able to transition into a Portuguese teacher. She now teaches Portuguese 2-4 Honors and CP combined courses as well as Language Practicum offered in Spanish and Portuguese. She is also the World Language Department Chair.

  • Mr. Richard Domingos is a Graduate of Coyle and Cassidy High School class of 1992.  Graduate of Providence college 1996 with a bachelor of arts in mathematics and secondary education.
    Mr. Domingos has taught in the diocese of fall river since 97-98 school year and has taught at Coyle & Cassidy High School in the 00-01 school year.
    Mr. Domingos has taught every high school level math class Coyle & Cassidy offers, excluding accounting He currently teaches Geometry H1, Calculus H1, and AP Calculus.

Mrs. Susan Freitas

  • Mrs. Susan (Oliver) Freitas graduated from Coyle and Cassidy in 1982. She earned a BSBA from Eastern Nazarene College. Mrs. Freitas worked for many years in Administration in the corporate world. After the birth of her twins (CC grads 2019), she became certified and taught Preschool at Brick House School and later was a Teacher’s Aide for Kindergarten and 1st grade at St. Mary’s Primary School.  She is now the Administrative Assistant to the President which allows her the opportunity to use her business skills as well as interact with students of all ages. Mrs. Freitas enjoys yoga, mediation and taking care of the large variety of animals that live with her family.

Mrs. Donna Fournier

  • Mrs. Donna Fournier, Chairperson of the English Department, holds a B.A. in English from Bridgewater State College and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College.  She has taught AP English Literature and Composition for over 25 years.  Mrs. Fournier also teaches English I and ELA Lab.  She has three children:  Michael, CC ’95;  Annemarie, CC ’05; and Beth, CC ’06.

  • Mr. Mark A. Guzman received a BA in English Literature and Criticism at UMASS Dartmouth and is pursuing an MAT at Bridgewater State University. Mr. Guzman has worked in the field of education for the last fourteen years and this year marks his fifth year teaching at Coyle& Cassidy, his eighth year in the Diocese of Fall River. He started his career in education as a substitute teacher, was a 1:1 assistant teacher for two years, an ELA teacher in public schools, a technology teacher both in Fall River and in Buzzards Bay, a librarian, and a technology assistant coordinator. Mr. Guzman currently teaches English IV: Literature of Identity and English I, but has taught English II in previous years. He is the current moderator for the Coyle & Cassidy Writing and Literary Magazine Club.

  • Kara Lawrence has been teaching United States and World history at the college and secondary school levels for the past ten years.  She has a BA with Honors in history and a MA in United States history (minor in Medieval Legal History/Early-Modern Political Theory) from Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY.  Throughout her studies, she has held fellowships at the International Center for Jefferson Studies and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.  In addition, Kara attended Bridgewater State University to attain her teaching license for the state of Massachusetts.  She is the AP US history teacher at Coyle and Cassidy, but also teaches history at the honors and CP levels.  In her classroom, she focuses on preparing students not only for the challenges of high school, but also the rigors of college.  Kara is also the moderator for the Class of 2019.

  • Jennifer Linehan has taught for four years in education. Her first three years were as a Director of Youth Faith Formation. As a first year teacher at Coyle & Cassidy, Jennifer teaches 6th and 7th grade Math and Science. She holds a Bachelors of Science from Roger Williams University in Marine Biology with a Minor in Chemistry. She  earned a  Master of Arts in Ministry from Theological Institute of New Evangelization from St. John’s Seminary.

  • Meredith Macomber has been teaching at Coyle & Cassidy High School and Middle School for the past 18 years. She currently teaches AP Chemistry and Chemistry H1, along with a forensics class which she initially developed.  Meredith obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts- Dartmouth, and is certified to teach chemistry (8-12) by the state of Massachusetts.

    As an educator, Ms.Mawn is passionate about bringing music to students of all ages. She is currently in her 9th year at CC as the Music Director and in her 1st as the Admissions Director. In the summer, she teaches for the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Days in the Arts program at Tanglewood as a Vocal Music teaching artist. Ms.Mawn has had a private voice studio for the past 12 years and most recently was the guest choral conductor for the South Central District Honors Chorus in NH. In March 2018 she will conduct the Lakes Region Honors Choir in NH and she is also slated to sing the lead, Maria Elena, in the new musical Always Remember in Miami, FL in 2019.

    As a performer, her roles include Suor Angelica (Suor Angelica) and Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus) at USM, Kate in The Yeomen of the Guard with The Bostonians and as Just Jeannette (Too Many Sopranos) with PORTopera’s Emerging Artists. She has been a featured soloist with the Southern Maine Symphony Orchestra, the Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Lincoln Arts Festival Chorus, the Granite State Chorale, and the Cranberry Coast Concert Series in MA. Her awards include; the Handel & Haydn Society’s Barbara Maze Award and the Vocal Apprenticeship Award, 1st place at Maine NATS and also the top honor at Maine NATS, the Lillian Nordica Award.

  • Carol Mecca earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Painting and Art History from Providence College, and a Master’s Degree in Integrated Teaching through the Arts from Lesley University. As a visual arts teacher, she has been awarded several Outstanding Educator awards from the National Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. In addition to directing plays, musicals and the Shakespeare Competition at CC, she continues to work with other local theaters in a variety of capacities. During the summer, she teaches with the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s immersive Days in the Arts program in Lenox, Ma.

Ms. Anne Molloy

  • Ms. Molloy has over 29 years of teaching experience and has been at Coyle & Cassidy since 1994. She graduated from Westfield State College with a B.A. in Mathematics & Secondary Education with a minor in Psychology. Previous to teaching she worked in the high tech industry installing and supporting Accounting systems for the banking industry.

    At Coyle & Cassidy, Ms. Molloy serves as the Department Head for Mathematics. She teaches Algebra II, Algebra & Trig, Analysis, and Accounting. Ms. Molloy is also the co-chair of the Diocesan Mathematics Committee in charge of curriculum for Pre-K through 8th grade. This committee also provides professional development for Math teachers throughout the diocese. She also serves as the Advisor for the Coyle & Cassidy HS Yearbook.

    Ms. Molloy is the proud mom of three Coyle & Cassidy graduates and she enjoys playing with her two grandsons (and hopefully future Warriors)!

  • Mrs.Williams began her teaching career at Laliberte Middle School in Raynham, Mass. She has many years of experience in education teaching math, science, social studies, reading, Latin and English in grades five through eight. Mrs. Williams has also worked for the Mass Migrant Education Program instructing students in grades five through twelve in reading, math and life skills. While working at M.M.E.P, she also served as Head Teacher and was responsible for coordinating the standardized testing program and overseeing the daily schedules of both students and teachers. During her many years as an educator for the Diocese of Fall River, Mrs. Williams has been a member of countless academic committees. She currently serves as Lead Teacher for the middle school at Coyle & Cassidy.
