To All in our Coyle and Cassidy Family:
We are able to announce officially that we have finalized our agreement with Stonehill College to be their inaugural high school partner to offer dual-enrollment college courses. These courses will be offered at Coyle and Cassidy, after school, and will be taught by Stonehill College faculty members. Students participating will earn three college credits per course for an amazing price of $300! Our first course will be offered starting in January and we believe that, due to student interest, it will be an introductory healthcare management course. We are so thankful and excited to be a partner with Stonehill College in this area and we are so excited for the opportunities this partnership presents for our students. Special thanks to our principal, Mrs. Kathy St. Laurent, who has been working on this initiative since late last spring. The Coyle and Cassidy Renaissance is in full speed ahead!
Thanks so much to all the parents and guardians who have already responded so generously to our 2018-2019 Parent Appeal. As a reminder, you may contribute via our secure website at www.coylecassidy.com or by mailing in your donation with the coupon included in the email. Also, for those wishing to break up their donation into a series of payments, you may set that up on our secure website. May God bless you for your continued, essential support of Coyle and Cassidy High School and Middle School.
Today we welcomed Ms. Jen DiMartino, from ALS One, to Coyle and Cassidy to accept a donation on behalf of our school community. Student government leaders, Bobbi Asbury and Thomas Canuel, were on hand to present Ms. DiMartino with a check for $1,000! As a school community we are thrilled to be able to continue our work of serving in this important way. May God bless all the doctors and researchers as they continue their important work of finding a cure for ALS.
Thank you to over 100 8th grade students and parents who attended our Rising High School Student event last night. We were so excited by the turnout and by all the exiting things we were able to discuss that will be part of these students’ high school experience as Coyle and Cassidy 9th graders next year. Four lucky students were the recipients of some fantastic prizes: two students won 50% off their freshman year tuition! Two other students won $50 and $25 Visa gift cards! Thanks so much to our upperclassmen who took time out of their busy lives to discuss their Coyle experience with our rising freshman and their parents. God has such a wonderful school here at Coyle and Cassidy!
The Diocese of Fall River is contracted with a consulting firm to do a study of all the Catholic schools in our diocese. An important part of the data collection effort is a survey that was emailed to all parents on 11/27/2018. If you believe you did not get it, please check your spam folder as it may have gone there. The email will come from the consultant, Maguire Associates. We ask that all parents and guardians of current students take the time to complete this important survey. Thanks in advance for your help. God bless!
May you all have the most wonderful weekend and may you all enjoy the most blessed Advent as we prepare for the birth of our Lord!
