Happy Homecoming Friday to All:

Another busy week at Coyle and Cassidy has come to an end!  The school is full for so many hours every day with wonderful and exciting things going on for our students! As I walk the halls during the day, I see classes of engaged students and teachers all working to be their best and to achieve academic excellence.  Beyond the school day, the practice for the fall play is well under way.  The wonderful sound of our music students singing and playing their instruments can be heard as they prepare for upcoming performances and liturgies.  The many student groups and activities, such as our middle school science and ukulele clubs, and our student councils for both middle and high school, as well as a myriad of other groups and clubs are meeting regularly and are having lots of fun in our great school community.  Our athletic teams continue to do well as all teams are working hard to achieve excellence through their sport.  This Saturday marks our Coyle and Cassidy Homecoming which features our football team traveling to Attleboro to take on Bishop Feehan at 11:00 am at Bishop Feehan.  Come cheer on our 4-1 Warriors as they continue their incredibly successful season.  We will end our day with the Homecoming Dance at CC which we know will be a great event for all our high school students. Thanks to all in our High School Student Council for all their hard work to put on this great event.

This week also marked the mid-point of the first semester!  Just a reminder to all parents that Plus Portals is great tool available to all to keep apprised of student academic progress as the year goes on.  If you are having trouble accessing Plus Portals, please call the main office.

This past Wednesday was a very busy day with students engaged in a variety of activities. Grade 5 was in class, Grades 6&7 participated in an in-house retreat, and for the first time students in grade 8 took the PSAT along with grades 9-11. Seniors had the opportunity to take the SAT at CC during this time as well. Thanks to Ms. Haynes, Guidance Director, for all she and Ms. LaPann, as well as all our teachers, did to insure all testing went off without a hitch!

Our school will also be engaged in the MAP testing program that has been adopted by the entire diocese.  Mrs. St. Laurent will be providing more information regarding this program.  Please know that our goal with our testing is to best inform our instructional practice so we can be as effective as possible in meeting the needs of each and every student!

Don’t forget about our Open House on Sunday, October 28th from 12:00 noon to 2:30pm.  We have plenty of posters, lawn signs, and the new car magnets.  Please help us spread the good news of God’s school.  Also, remember that our referral incentive program is very much in place.  Please help us all in the very important job of bringing potential students to our Open House!

It is my hope and prayer that you all have a wonderful weekend filled with lots of great sports!  First, we have our own Warriors taking on the Shamrocks of Feehan, followed by Bruins, Red Sox, and the Patriots!  I don’t know about you, but I see W’s all around!

God Bless,

Dr. Bernie Audette
