To All in our Coyle and Cassidy Family:
I hope this blog finds you all having enjoyed your spring break as well as Holy Week and now rejoicing in the good news of our Easter Season!
Just before our break began, many of us in our Coyle and Cassidy family enjoyed our high school performance of Sister Act! Congratulations to Ms. Carol Mecca, our stage director, and Ms. Sarah Mawn, our musical director, for an outstanding series of performances. The acting, singing, dancing, pit orchestra, and set were all excellent and came together to provide for a wonderful experience for all who came and enjoyed the performance. Special thanks and recognition need to be given to our two student choreographers who made everything look so smooth and artistically wonderful: Brianna Duffy and Allie Damigella! Great work, ladies! Thanks to all our actors, musicians, stage crew, lighting, and sound who all played huge roles in this wonderful showcase of Coyle and Cassidy talent!
Tonight at 7 we will hold the annual Mr. Coyle competition in our auditorium. Mrs. Angeley has been working very hard with our 7 Coyle Men vying for this coveted title! This show promises to be a great deal of fun and generate lots of laughs! Please join us for this great Coyle tradition!
Today we celebrated the accomplishments of our winter season athletes as well as our spring sport athletes who are in the middle of their season. We did this at our Spring Pep Rally which is always a fun event for the entire school! Please come out and support our spring athletes during the balance of their seasons!
Junior/Senior Prom Reminder
On Thursday, May 23, 2019 the Junior/Senior Prom will be held at the Cape Club in Sharon. The cost of the prom is $80.00 per person. There were two payments: Friday, March 8 ($40.00 per person), and Friday, April 5 ($40.00 per person.) Any payment received is subject to a $10.00 late fee – This is for each payment date listed above!
Proper prom planning is time sensitive and work intensive. At this time all sign-up deadlines have passed. If your son/daughter would like to attend this wonderful event but missed the payment dates. Have your son/daughter see the class moderator (Seniors – Mrs. Lawrence; Juniors – Ms. Mawn) as soon as possible. Late sign-ups will incur the late charges. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS AFTER FRIDAY – APRIL 26, 2019. We are looking forward to a wonderful prom!
As an update to our 2019-2020 Financial Aid Process: Financial aid letters have been going out for our HS families who have completed their applications and provided all supporting documents. We will begin working on our Middle School awards during the first full week of May once FACE finalizes their awards.
It is also the time of year when agreements and payment plans are being finalized in FACTS. This year, with our collaboration with Bishop Connolly High School, Ms. Shawna Keavy has taken over as business manager for both schools. This means that Ms. Keavy will be taking over the management of the FACTS system and will be the person to answer any questions or make any needed changes to agreements. She can be reached by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at Bishop Connolly at 508.676.1071 ext. 310. We can’t thank Ms. Keavy and Mr. Myron enough for making this collaboration possible. This is one great way that our two schools are able to become more efficient.
We ask your patience as we make this switch as both schools were not in complete sync with the way FACTS functioned. Ms. Keavy will be starting to bill tuition amounts and will include the financial aid that has been awarded. Also, for the ease of everyone, this year a PSAT fee of $17 that is paid by all students in grades 8-11 will be billed directly through FACTS. This will help us at school so we do not have to take those payments at the school.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation and patience as we get this new system and process implemented.
As we continue to invest in our programs for our students, it remains important that we receive financial support from so many. As I have stated numerous times, the amount we assess for tuition covers less than 85% of the cost of educating our students in a manner they need and deserve in order to be prepared for our world today! Also, as a school, we provide a significant amount of financial assistance to many students. We do that in a school that preserved programs and opportunities for our students because we believe all students deserve a full middle and high school experience.
Research continues to demonstrate the financial value of an investment in Catholic education. The research seems consistent that graduation rates, college enrollment and completion rates, median earnings, and overall student success prove to be greater at Catholic Schools. This positive return on investment is in addition to the wonderful grounding in our faith and the exceptional level of college readiness that is demonstrated by graduates of Catholic secondary schools. Please help us spread this good news as well as provide the essential necessary financial support to give all our students the advantages they deserve.
Please visit CoyleCassidy.com to contribute securely by clicking on the DONATE button in the upper right of the website. Or, if you prefer, you may send your donation via mail to the attention of the Advancement Office. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous support of Coyle and Cassidy and for choosing Catholic education for your children.
God Bless you all and may the joy of this Easter season be ever-present in your lives!
