To All in our Coyle and Cassidy Family:

Congratulations to our hockey team and girls’ basketball team who both had great seasons and great runs in each of their respective MIAA tournaments.  Thank you all so much for great seasons and for being so much fun to watch play!  Go WARRIORS!

Preparation for our spring musicals are well underway and we know that they will be outstanding.  Please see our school calendar for the dates and times of performances.  This spring will also feature other fun and spirit-filled events.  We invite you all to join us for all this fun as we move into Spring!  Our school calendar and weekly newsletter will include all the information about these exciting events.

I am excited to report that we continue to make great strides in planning for next year.  Just this past week we have had great conversations with both Boston College and the University of Notre Dame regarding ways we could partner with them as we work on our new strategic partnership with Bishop Connolly.  We have also had some wonderful continued conversations with our great partner, Stonehill College, and we are both actively looking for ways to expand the access to the dual enrollment program we began this year.

I am thrilled to announce that we just purchased four gel electrophoreses lab stations.  This is truly exciting and will enable our students to elevate their laboratory experience with this state-of-the-art equipment.  For those who might be like me and not sure exactly what these units allow our students to do:  “Gel electrophoresis is a technique commonly used in laboratories to separate charged molecules like DNA, RNA and proteins according to their size. Charged molecules move through a gel when an electric current is passed across it.” Source: www.yourgenome.org  I am very much looking forward to spending some time with our students in the lab seeing and learning first-hand how they use this great tool!

To all parents and guardians of returning students, please remember to send in your registration paperwork and fee by March 15th.  This date is also the preferred date for financial aid applications as we will begin our financial aid award process soon after that date.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our guidance or admissions offices.

As we continue to invest in our programs for our students, it remains important that we receive financial support from so many.  As I have stated numerous times, the amount we assess for tuition covers less than 85% of the cost of educating our students in a manner they need and deserve in order to be prepared for our world today!  Also, as a school, we provide a significant amount of financial assistance to many students. We do that in a school that preserved programs and opportunities for our students because we believe all students deserve a full middle and high school experience.

Research continues to demonstrate the financial value of an investment in Catholic education.  The research seems consistent that graduation rates, college enrollment and completion rates, median earnings, and overall student success prove to be greater for graduates of Catholic Schools.  This positive return on investment is in addition to the wonderful grounding in our faith and the exceptional level of college readiness that is demonstrated by graduates of Catholic secondary schools.  Please help us spread this good news as well as provide the essential necessary financial support to give all our students the advantages they deserve.

Please visit www.coylecassidy.com to contribute securely by clicking on the DONATE button in the upper right of the website.  Or, if you prefer, you may send your donation via mail to the attention of the Advancement Office.  We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generous support of Coyle and Cassidy and for choosing Catholic education for your children.

God Bless and may you all have a wonderful weekend!

In Christ,

Dr. Bernie Audette
